The Ciberguerra is a reality
Ciberarmas global has happened to be fiction to comprise of our reality, according to the V annual Report of Virtual Criminology realised by McAfee. This report keeps awake, in addition, that ciberataques motivated by political subjects has increased in five countries, the United States, Russia, France, Israel and China, that at the moment is ciberarmados.

“At the moment, many countries worldwide actively are involved in the preparations of ciberguerras and attacks. Today, the arms are not nuclear, but virtual, and everybody would have to adapt and to be conscious of these new threats”, affirms Dave DeWalt, president and CEO of McAfee. The V Report of Virtual Criminology reunites the knowledge of more than a twenty of experts worldwide, including the Dr. Jamie Saunders, advisor of the British Embassy in Washington D.C., and to experts of security with experience in the Agency of National Security of the United States.

For the first time, the V Report of Virtual Criminology provides a model to define ciberguerra, identifies the countries involved in the development of ciberofensas and ciberdefensas, analyzes examples of ciberataques motivated by political subjects and reveals how the private sector will be catched in the middle of the crossfire. The spreading on the part of the government also constitutes an important problem, since the initiatives of cibercrimen and the information is, frequently, classified by the government, which makes difficult that the public sector as much as the prevailed one can be defended of cibercrimen.

The experts request a clear definition and abren the debate on ciberguerra. Without a debate abierto between the government, the public sector and the private one, the futures ciberataques directed to infrastructures critics could be devastating.

The report of this year identifies the following challenges:
1. Ciberguerra is a reality. During the last year, the increase of ciberataques motivated by political subjects has caused alarm and precaution, with objectives like the White House, the Department of National Security, the Secret Service of the United States and the Department of Defense of the United States.

2. Ciberarmas critics go to infrastructures. Who attack not only are constructing his ciberdefensas, also his ciberofensas, directed to infrastructures like energy networks, I transport, water telecommunications, finances and provision, because the damages can take control more quickly and of less effort.

3. Ciberguerra is indefinite. Ciberguerra involves to many and different actors from very different forms whose rules of commitment clearly are not defined. In addition, envelope is a abierto debate what responsibilities would have to fall to organizations to protect and to educate to the citizens in the prevention of the attacks. Without a suitable definition of the place, it is impossible to determine when a political answer is justifiable or threatens of a military action.
