Changing the Font (Netscape)
There are two basic kinds of fonts: serif, and sans serif. As you can see from the example below, which are the same font size, a sans serif type of font appears much bigger than a serif font, and is much preferred as a screen font.

Serif has little strokes at the end of the lines that make up a letter.
Sans serif (Arial) has no such little strokes.

The Edit Menu

To change the font click on the | Edit | menu. (see illustration to left).
A menu will come down. Click on | Preferences |, and (you guessed it) another menu will appear.

In the left window, under Appearance (see illustration to the left) you will find | Fonts |.
Click on Fonts, and the Fonts menu ( see below) will appear to the right .

Click on the arrow beside the box labeled Variable Width Font, and a selection box will drop down.
Use the slider bar, or click on the arrows pointing up and down, until Arial (or any other font you wish to see) is visible in the box window.
Click on the font, and then click on | OK | to close the menu.
