The Royal Scribe If you don’t have the time... Ring for your Royal Scribe. ( Warning: Blatant Self Promotion )
Royalty of old, like modern executives, needed their Scribes. Kings and Queens are busy people. Busy people donlt have time to actually write down their royal pronouncements, promulgations, and declarations. For this they had their Scribes. After all there were wars to attend to, and peasant uprisings, and the building of palaces. Last, but certainly not least, Kings and Queens had to decide whom to tax, and how much. Modern Executives are faced with many of the kings tasks and responsibilities. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your view) modern executives do not have the power to tax and must thus persuade the people to part with their money willingly. The kingls scribe made do with quill and parchment. Todays scribe uses the keyboard, mouse, and laser printer. Some tools have changed but the process of creating persuasive words and images is still done mostly by brain. The scribe's task is to analyze the Royal vision and compress it to words (or pictures) on pages. If the words written were wise enough for his majesty to claim credit, then the scribe knew his task was well done. From quill to harddrive, from parchment to web site, Herb the Scribe is continuing the tradition. The Scribe writes the words that you would have written, if you had the time. The Scribe draws the pictures that you would have drawn, if you had the time. The Scribe puts it together like you would, if you had the time.
